Since I started travelling, I have traveled both solo and with friends and I must admit that each time it was a different and unique experience. However, I do find your tips exceptional and very helpful. Anyone planning to travel with friends should definitely read them!

no nightmares, but yes I definitely have had moments where I say to myself “never traveling with this person again” and usually the feeling the mutual so the friendship is still there.

I also generally love travelling with friends, even if its one companion who has the same travel style/similar experience it’s so easy to have a companion (particularly going out at night drinking- probably the one thing I don’t enjoy travelling alone is that I never feel fully comfortable enjoying the nightlife without someone I really trust to get me home safely haha!). You’re lucky you don’t seem to have had any nightmare friends to travel with…. I’ve had 99% great experiences too…. but the one time it was bad it was just the worst!

I am sure this is one great way to enjoy any place but I have never been able to travel with friends yet. Most of us are busy at one time or the other and we have not yet found a time when everyone is free at the same time. Hope we do it some day :)… Great tips and pics indeed.

Traveling with a group can be fun or disaster, it all depends upon planning and execution. These are some good tips. I try to travel with like minded people in general and try to avoid big groups as much as possible.

I hear ya! I’ve had a few bad experiences myself with some friends…but I’m usually the planner and I have a few who dont like to plan so it works out awesome for both!
